Double-walled drill casings are connected at the casing joints by casing screws to form a rigid, watertight casing string. The thread ring inserts and conical seating rings are precision components that guarantee high seating accuracy resulting from shrink fitting. Both components are fixed by spot welding and in case of wear can be easily replaced. The watertight connection is accomplished by O-rings in the casing joints and sealing rings on the conical casing srews.
